tried it last night
we got there at a little after 5pm (before a movie) and it wasnt crowded, but it got that way by the time we left

parking is what it is, not enough but you can park on the side streets. not sure i understand the bar area, i'd rather have eaten in there than the dining room but frick its hot in there. cool bar but not a place you can hang comfortably

cocktails and service were excellent.
we had:
-tuna/crab stack
-banh mi
-drunken noodles
-cauliflower

banh mi was the best thing we ate, followed by the cauliflower and the noodles. tuna was just ok, not much flavor. the noodles were tasty but kind of one-note...needed something crisp/fresh to balance it. the cauliflower was outstanding

next time we will try the cold noodles, wings and one of the ramen. cool place, it will clearly do well

Went last night for the first time. Got the whole fried fish and it was very meh. It came with a dipping sauce that had lots of fish sauce and the smell was overpowering. Plus the fish was fileted and chunked before frying with the bones and head fried as presentation. The whole point of whole fried fish is the flavor and moisture from cooking on the bone.

All of the small plates and apps were good. Will go back but will try some different things next time.

Went thursday.
It was fine. The Okinawa old fashioned was good.

I got the sushi rice stuffed pork app. Everything was seasoned well. Just thought it was pricey for 4 oz of pork and rice.
I got the shoyu noodle bowl. The broth was heavy, lots of flavor. The soft boiled egg was perfect.
Only issue was the enoki mushrooms were too chewy at the stem and that thick broth was tiring after half the bowl.

I'll go back.. lots of stuff looked good coming out of the kitchen.

Went back a couple of weeks ago, and the table ordered the dumplings. They weren’t anywhere near as spicy as they were the first time I had them, so it looks like they heard the complaints concerning them.

Only complaint I have was I had to park 2 blocks away and worry that my car might get towed.

Baton Rouge really needs to lose this small town mentality. It's a city, man.

Went recently and thought it was pretty damn good overall.

Drunken noodles, waygu dumplings, and the cauliflower side were all outstanding. I would say those are all “must-orders”. The banh mi was pretty good, but I think I would have appreciated it more had it not come out after the powerful flavors of the drunken noodles and dumplings (which was a mistake on their part).

The butter chicken was good, but not much different than what you can get from a local Indian place and the naan was disappointing. Also, those flavors didn’t really jive with the rest of the meal.

Cocktails were great. They use Suntory Toki for the old fashioned and a few others.

Lively vibe. Lots of 90s rap playing.

Service was pretty good, but as I alluded to above, they screwed up the timing of dishes.

We were able to park on-site, but I think they have some agreement with a nearby bank for overflow parking at night at least.
