I have the Hopper 18 and love it. I added a waterproof pocket to the front of it. Its perfect for the beach.

I find we use the soft cooler way more often than that hard sided.

I don't what academy's return policy is, but we have the Magellan brand soft sided cooler. Its held up to us, but I haven't left it in the sun for extended times like some people will.
