What's the beer menu look like?

Only 10 taps at this point. They have Envie, Canebrake, Abita Amber and then the usual suspects like Blue Moon, Shiner, etc. I did not check the bottle list. Envie makes it a viable option for my beer needs.

If people request a more craft beer oriented tap list and the beer sells, I am sure the owner will make changes.

I'm interested in a review as well, but you may want to give it a few weeks or so.

My family and I were there for opening night last night. As expected, they are working out the kinks with service, but it was a good experience. The burgers were excellent. He's getting his buns from a place in Lafayette and they are good. The meat patties were quality and well seasoned IMO. The women raved about the Mississippi Mud Cake dessert. I passed on dessert and just had another beer.

That sounds like a great event, but I will be in Lafayette for the Parish event.

Some friends of mine went last night. Said the staff seemed clueless, waited 90 minutes for food and almost walked out. Said the food was just ok.

Was really hoping this place would make it.

Yay...another new restaurant aiming squarely for the middle. I'll never understand why someone would plunk down all the money and time it takes to open a restaurant just to have untrained staff and completely average food.

This does not sound like a solid business plan.

Mixed reviews so far. Hoping to see a few more, and hopefully good ones. Is there a Golden Tee machine and some cute worker chicks? Those things and some cold beer can make average food taste pretty good in my opinion (Walk-On's ).

And, they only "almost" walked out?

No and no. Both would have been a great addition to the place but sadly are not there. Went for lunch yesterday and was severely disappointed. Really was hoping for a winner here but I don't think this is it. The bar is tiny with a subpar beer selection. The food was ok, but nothing special (of course I didn't try any of the $8 hotdogs so maybe I missed out on their specialty). And the wait staff was all around bad. Not attractive and not knowledgable enough to make up for not being attractive. I asked the waitress what was good and she said she didn't know what to recommend because she hasn't even tried anything. On top of that, the vibe was just off. Tons of TVs on the wall (all playing the same channel though) and nothing else. No baseball or any sports memorabilia, pictures, etc. Sadly I don't think this will last.

This is sad. I've been waiting for something worthwhile to open there.

The building owner really needs to just remodel that unit into an office or something. Nothing has lasted there and probably never will.

I don't think that's the case. I think there have just been awful restaurants put in to the spot. Haven't tried Sliders yet, but I will. Sad to hear the bar is tiny. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense for a sports bar.

I've been there twice. Both times went very smoothly. Their burgers and the fried green beans are solid. The shrimp and crab enchilada was awesome. From what I gathered from their staff they didnt train long enough so itll definitely be bumpy for the first couple weeks.

Fwiw I sat at the bar though where usually the level of service is better in any restaurant

Hopefully the owner takes notice and makes the necessary changes.
