9 pages of reviews for a SPORTS BAR.
I believe the 9 pages is based on the desire to see something actually succeeding in that space, although personally I haven't heard enough good reviews to make me want try Sliders yet. I still think Tommy's Fish House should have moved to that building.

Heard Kenny Carr left Tommy's ~2-3 months ago and it's begun to fall off

My ideal burger would have a brioche bun. Dirty silverware?

I'll probably grab a bite at Sliders in the next few days.

It's a frickin sports bar. They have burgers, fried food apps, draft beer and TVs. It doesn't warrant 9 pages of talk. I don't need to use the zomato app before hitting a sports bar.

Being that there are nine pages of talk I think it does warrant it. It's a fricking message board, it's supposed to have talk. And when a local place opens up in a parish starving for local flavor, people want to talk about it.

I Don't know if you're being facetious or not, but two different sets with food chunks left on them at one table.

Like I said, that's employees just being a dick and not caring because you couldn't roll it up without seeing it(think big chunk of soggy bread). Frustrating as a business owner to see things like that, as it just doesn't make sense, no telling who did it and if they're doing crap like that, they're probably doing other crappy things.

Well why would they get GiTM, a fairly new bar and the first new batch since they opened. I wouldn't figure they would get a batch till they've established themselves somewhat

The last 10 or so posts reminds me of "who's on 1st".

I haven't been to Sliders yet. I think I may have lost my will to go.

I see where Jones Creek Cafe may be trying to reinvent themselves somewhat. Has anyone been there lately and can update me on the place?

I would try Sliders at least once, no you won't be blown away by the food but they are solid. they have an ok beer list, and they are working on the kinks.

Finally tried it and I wasn't impressed. The menu isn't that different than Santa Fe. The burger was good but not worth mentioning to anyone. The waitresses all looked like Gonzales locals who have had it rough. The owners were extra friendly and walked around checking on everyone. It's a good concept but the food is less than Applebee's quality.
