heading there tomorrow for work .... first time. Three nights total, so wanted to check out some worthwhile eats. Lots to cull through with so many highly regarded restaurants and street fare.

Any recs from the F+D crowd?

No matter how bad you want to, don't, for any reason, bring any chewing gum on your trip.

Chili crab will be expensive at the high end restaurants but you can get it pretty cheap where the locals eat at the hawker centers. It's very good.

All the vendors on the side of the road fanning flames and smoke on beef, pork, and prawn is a must try. That shite is delicious. Also try stingray while you are there.

China Town is a cool place. The Islam section has decent eats and you can see the mosques but it's not a recommended area of town.

Cabs are too expensive Imo. Get a bus pass or subway pass. The public transportation is awesome and easy to use.

Beer is expensive if you want to get drunk in a bar, but it's a decent price at the coffee shops.

Have fun

Can’t agree with the stingray recommendation more. If on the company dime, get the black pepper crab as well as the chili crab. Little India has some good places if you like Indian food. Walk through some of the fish markets just for fun. Really intersting things to see.
