Side dish for bbq shrimp

Gonna make bbq shrimp for supper but having a hard time coming up with a side dish besides french bread. Any ideas?

This is a crazy easy but very good cheese grit recipe. The Swiss and parm gives it great flavor. After baking it comes out more like a grit cake. Would be nice to serve the shrimp over this imo

And make the cheese grits the day before. They’re always better when they’ve been reheated before serving.

I grew up in a Cajun household and side dishes were pretty much never a concern. Literally I think Cajun food means "no side dish". My mom had the kitchen clean before the one pot/pan/casserole dish was served.

Is this the head on, peel yourself original version of the dish? A garlicky-dressed green salad full of olives would be nice.

The biggest loaf of French bread you can find to sop up all that delicious juice
