Ki Mexico

Great place. I've heard good things about the BBQ-ish place at Red River brewery, but haven't yet been.

Yes.

Fat Calf Boucherie inside Red River Brewery is also very good.

My fav seafood is blind tiger or a shrimp buster at herbie K's.

Fav other local restaurants in general:
Parish taceaux
Ki mexico

The new place downtown missing link is solid...very dat dog like

To me fat calf in red river is kinda hit or miss... overall good though

I would say that Frank’s Louisiana Kitchen is your best bet. Others you may want to check out include Superior Steakhouse, Silver Star Grille, Oyster Bar.

Fat Calf inside RRBC is awesome, but there’s nothing seafood that I remember.

Anybody been to BeauxJax? I have not, but I heard they were supposed to have southern inspired cuisine.

I would avoid Herby K’s. Way overrated.

Had Beaux-Jax last weekend. Cool space and food was decent. Had some po-boys and various apps.

We enjoyed Franks LA kitchen the 2 times we’ve been.
also there’s Port Au Prince on cross lake. Catfish/Shrimp/Steak restaurant.

I think Marilynn’s Place has seafood baskets, but their bread and butter is poboys.

I hit Beaux Jax opening weekend, which I usually avoid, but they did a good job. Nice space in the promising East End District in Bossier.

That area may actually catch on, with BJ on one end and Flying Heart on the other. FH's beer is not my favorite, but they now serve other brands and have some good pizza.

Marilynn's is good too. I like to order the catfish Marilynn (fried filets with crawfish ettoufee), which is not on the menu. They offer as a special sometimes but will make it any time.
