I wouldn't say that. Nicky's, El Chico, and even Trejo's fill the quota for not-so-good mexican. Superior is decent but more of a scene than restaurant. The best Mexican food in the area is El Mariachi in Bossier on Barksdale.

What? It was replaced by Stir Tapas, which serves tapas, which is a Spanish cuisine. I'm pretty sure they same guy still owns it though.

A person asks for recommendation in a town, Im going to suggest options where the best food can be found.

OP asked about Superior Steakhouse. Also mentioned he recently dined at Waterfront and Cotton.

You dont have to "be rich" to enjoy good meals.
