I have done it a few times, but wanted to get some opinions...

I can use USPS flat rate boxes to get there in 2 days. Links are frozen and vacuum sealed and shipped with ice packs. But I can't fit styrofoam in the box. Would cost $18.80 for the large flat rate. (Which isn't very big)

Other option would be FedEx and would arrive in 3 days. Same situation, but I can put the links and the ice packs in a styrofoam ice chest inside of a small box from Home Depot. Would cost around $22 and I can fit a lot more.

I am leaning towards 3 days, but worry that is too long.

TIA

3 days would worry me. I think it'll at least be defrosted by then. Maybe some dry ice with the ice packs? I've never used dry ice myself, but foods I order sometimes have it.

Last time I shipped I did 2 day USPS. They said it was cold but not frozen. Cooked the next day and it tasted fine. I am wondering if the 3rd day with FedEx will be countered by the styrofoam ice chest. Dry ice may help. I'll have to look into that.

Normal 5 day in a Home Depot/Lowes bucket with dry ice wouldn't work? I mean it rarely last 5 days unless you ship during the weekend.

Your ice packs will be toast after about 24-36 hours. Especially this time of the year. If you are shipping it in a cooler you should get dry ice. That will last you the three days. You should have no less than 7lbs. If you want to overnight, the ice packs will work.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
