Good. Maybe this will wake up Subway. I was headed out of town once on a long flight, dependent on airport food. I'm ordering at Subway and the person making my sandwich says, "We're out of tomatoes. We're out of lettuce." WTF?

Yeah Burger King makes the best burger of that tier. Them and sonic.

When they first announced the airport food options a year ago I’m pretty sure they included a Burger King.

Didn't know they were still opening those. Seems like that franchise is hanging on by a thread.

The actual food at shake shack will not blow you away

It is very much like chik-fil-a and in-n-out where you will enjoy it more due to the service and cleanliness

This is spot on. People were waiting for like 5-6 hours to eat at the one in Charlotte. I ate there at an off time with no wait and was thinking how pissed I would be if I waited that long . I thought Shake Shack was pretty similar to smash burger. I would say SS is maybe 15% better than smash burger.

I still like five guys the best out of this category of burger joints.

In-n-out is underwhelming but compensates for it with good service and being cheap as frick.

The only thing really amazing at Shake Shack are their shakes. The burgers are decent enough, but agree on not worth waiting in a long line for. I do like them better than Five Guys, which I think is hugely overrated.

Y'all got Moo Yah down there? There are a couple here in Bham, and they're way better than Five Guys.

Yeah, we have moo-yah's. I was on a kick going there for a little while, but I moved to another part of town and haven't been in a really long time.

Why? They’re all made to order “higher tier” fast food burger places.

Maybe the Whataburger I've been to is an outlier, but it was absolutely terrible.

I have Shake Shack and 5 Guys at about the same level, and In n Out below them. With Whataburger even further below that.

ETA: The Whataburger I had was similar to Sonic or something like that.

The patty melt at Whataburger is amazing. Their regular burgers are just okay, but the patty melt is worth the stop there.
