I’ve had a hard time with my seasonings in my pantry staying dry. They seem to clump together. Any suggestions?

Keep them in the fridge, less humidity so they shouldn’t clump

What are you storing them in? I store most of mine in glass jars and never have a problem.

I had the same problem with seasonings clumping.

I purchased 10 gram silica desiccant packets off Amazon and put two in each container.

This solved the problem.

Don't ever apply seasonings straight from the container over a heated dish. Always measure out or pour into a vessel and then apply to your dish. If not, the condensation from your dish will immediately clump up your seasonings and you will have a bad time.

That’s humidity getting in there. As above poster states, don’t season over a cooking pot. The steam will get in there and cause the clumping.

Also don’t keep seasonings longer than about 6 months. Their oils start to dry up and they lose their flavor. Get air tight containers for them.

I buy mine from spice house online, and they all come in ziplock style packaging. I have labeled Mike glass jars to put them in. These two methods make them hold their flavor much longer.
