They struggle everywhere. Not sure why.
Yeah I don't get it
I love it, always have to go find a new one because they close and reopen all the time

The only reason I can think of that some sandwich shops don’t make it in Louisiana is because we have poboys that are already made on bread/sandwiches.
Not sure if thats the reason or not, but they only thing I can thing of.

They’re so expensive it’s more like a treat than in the rotation.

All about location. If they had a DQ on College Drive it would do extremely well.

There's one in Lafayette on Pinhook. The Johnston St. location closed last year when the owners retired.
Yuuuuup, owner’s children weren’t interested in the business as he had 2 solid locations. Pinhook was sold to the Mgr who had been there 15+ yrs, and he sold the Johnson St. building/location to Kartchners for $$$$$$.
I eat Schlotzskys every 2-3 weeks as the jalapeño cheese bread roast beef sandwich is my go to.

I was in line opening day at Essen and got free sandwiches for a year

When traveling, Schlotsky's is one of my first choices, the sandwiches are packed with high quality deli meats. When home in BR there are too many other good choices, but it was in the rotation.
