Wife will be going in May with a few other executive women from her company. Can any of you recommend some restaurants?

La Fonda hotel restaurant
La Choza restaurant
Boultawn's bagels for breakfast (get the green chili bagel breakfast special sandwich!)
Tomasita's used to be good but I think they're slipping, kind of riding on their rep with tourism and such.
Coyote rooftop is pretty good.
Also Santa Fe Brewery main campus out south of town is fun! They have fire pits and food trucks and good beer. It's pictured below but since they've added ~10 fire pits and adirondack chairs.
Also take the opportunity to buy some green/christmas style salsas to bring home. Pedro's and Grajeda are GREAT.
Finally, absolutely stuffy yourself on good christmas-style dishes (where they combine red and green sauce). It's very fresh and tasty. It's hard to find good NM-style food elsewhere, which is a shame.

I ate there twice this summer and it was awesome.
Fire and Hops is a cool bar with mostly locals and good asian fusion food.
Radish & Rye if you want an upscale dinner.
Rawley farmhouse Ales is the best beer in Santa Fe but its a couple miles away from the Plaza area. Again, its mostly locals. Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery is close to Ralwey and has a cool outdoor area.

I don’t normally parrot easy to recommend restaurants, but The Shed in Santa Fe really is as good as most guide books/websites say it is.

We were there last fall. Had a great time. Stayed in the spectacular St. Francis Hotel.
Right off Santa Fe Plaza where a number of great shopping and dining options exist. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar, with outdoor seating available. We had drinks there and it's certainly worth going just to see that hotel.
Had dinner one night at the trendy Coyote Cafe. Great restaurant. Has a roof top bar if you wanted to do that only. We needed reservations FYI.
Had breakfast one morning at nearby Pasquals. They do lunch and dinner as well. Neat little restaurant. Some reviewers consider it the "Best Breakfast" in Santa Fe. You'll often see lines forming out the door to get in.
Stopped for lunch at the Burrito Company near the Plaza. Good lunch featuring local cuisine at a reasonable price.
SO many choices in that City. Depends on where you're staying and how much time you have. Really neat town.

I was there last weekend and went to Taco Bell because I got there at 12am and it was either that or McDonalds.

Lots of good recommendations. The Shed is iconic as others mentioned. I would recommend El Farol and Fire and Hops. The Compound is really nice and a great meal but more upscale. If you don’t mind getting out of Santa Fe, check out El Paragua in Espanola (nevermind, apparently they shutdown) or Los Ojos in Jemez Springs.

I live in Santa Fe, the Shed sucks, very average food with long waits. Geronimo and Izanami are excellent, Pasqual's is good but not what it was pre-covid, they all need reservations. Atrisco, owned by the same people as Tomasito's, is good for New Mexican options but the ambiance is much better at Tomasito's if you can sit outside. Counter Culture is good if seeking a wide range of good breakfast options, as is the Flying Tortilla. Santa Fe Brewing is the most lackluster beer in town, yeah the big location on the south side is nice but I couldn't recommend an IPA nor pale ale from there. Rawley is, eh, hard to describe, probably taken 10 visitors there and not had much positive feedback. 2nd Street and Bosque brewing have many beers that appeal to different tastes. I would throw in some barrel aged beers at Beer Creek, but they will likely be gone by end of March.

The have a location in Santa Fe now? I've been to the Nob Hill and another location in Albuquerque.
I've been to The Shed for lunch and can't remember waiting. I've always thought the spicy pork dish was awesome, but obviously I'm not experienced with true New Mexico food.

My BFF from college just relocated to Santa Fe'; and, she's a smart healthy doctor type.
She recommended Cafe' Castro.

Yes, it's at the Rail Yard really close to where the Saturday farmers market sets up.
It's diagonally across the train tracks from a 2nd Street brewing location, 2 birds one stone with less than 5 minute walk. Shed is likely less busy at lunch, dinner during tourist season gets very busy after 5:30. OP, I forgot to mention Tune Up, excellent brunch on weekends and the lamb barbacoa tacos are amazing lunch/dinner.
A poster mentioned St Francis Hotel, the Secreto bar there makes some really nice drinks and there is a separate wine/champagne bar at the other end of the hotel if the ladies like that, it is right off the primary square.
