We are headed out there this week on a tour of the university. We've been before and have some places that we like: Provisions, Log Haven, Red Iguana.

I didn't have a chance to hit the breweries there last time. I plan on visiting some this time. Any other places in Salt Lake we need to visit?

We've been impressed with the food out there. Way better food town than I had ever thought it'd be.

Squatters and Uintas are decent breweries but you will not get your moneys worth if you drink what is on tap because of ABV restrictions.

If you are near West Valley there are some good Hispanic restaurants.

High West distillery in Park City has good food and spirits for a pretty drive.

We went there and also hit Wasatch Brewery. Loved the burger at the brewery.

I'd recommend having drinks and apps at Whiskey Street downtown.

I'd go to Avenues Proper in the Avenues before hitting any of the bigger breweries. They do in house stuff that's as good/better and the food is better.

They have a nice tasting room and pretty good grub too.
