Messed up and let it soak in the sink and rusted a little bit. I cleaned most of the rust off, but wanted to know if I can re-season and it will be okay? Also, any suggestions on how to clean it?

Soap and water, put on burner to dry, reseason, use search function.

I bought a rusted iron skillet at a garage sale once. My husband used steel wool to get rid of the rust. Seasoned it and it was perfect.

Use an onion to scrub off the rust

Then wash it with some soap and water
Then pour some canola oil on a waded up paper towel and coat your skillet with it.

But it in the oven on low for a little while and your good to go

Why are you worried about dress code, you know you still have your Picadilly clothes on from last night and aren't gonna change til Tuesday.

Where will the cast iron seasoning truck be tomorrow? I really think it is over-rated, but I am willing to go if I can argue about being overcharged.

Scratch your arse with that greasy fried chicken hand and you'll come loose.

How much should I tip someone wearing rolled up jeans and an Affliction shirt who makes me a burger out of ground deer back strap after he re-seasons my boring, rusted cast iron pot with a Citibank Visa card?

Did you order water? With or without lemon?

Don't put these posts on here if you are not going to give us all the facts.

I do this all the time. Heat it up on the stove, scrub with oil and kosher salt.

It'll re-seaon over time.
