It looks like the rouge skillet has opened on exchequer in the old samuels/exchequer/citypork/KC's grill location.
Anybody tried it yet?

I gave it a shot today. It's not like the previous ones. Maybe they are going to ease into it
They do have a daily special, today's was Spaghetti and Meatballs. The lunch menu consist almost all of sandwiches, a taco and a salad and the daily special. While it's mostly sandwiches they have some non-sandwich type sides (Jalapeno Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, corn, etc.) I had roast beef on wheat, it was okay, not anything that I would travel great lengths to get, but decent. I had the Jalapeno Mac, mainly because I didn't really see another side I wanted (Someone pointed out later when I got back to my office they have kettle chips according to FB), kettle chips were not on menu at location. The Mac & Cheese was ok, but I did get about 3/4 through it and ask myself why I was still eating it, so I didn't finish it.
I don't remember what the specials were priced out when it was the other restaurants, but they looked to be priced at about $11-$12 which seems high, they do have a side and salad, but not real sure I'm feeling paying that much for a "special"
Overall all, I went thinking it was just going to be similar to before with a new name, in some respects, it was, but in a lot of areas it was not. Will I try it again, yes, but mainly because my office is within a couple hundred yards.

Yeah almost stopped in for lunch the other day. No one was in the lot, which wasn’t unusual, but saw the for lease sign up again. They needed 6 months worth of capital to build clientele. Not sure it would have helped though. We only went once for lunch. I got the hamburger steak. It was ok. Not special. But for $12 for a scoop of mashed potatoes and one medium hamburger patty, I expected special. And I’m fairly close as well. But too many other options close enough by that were cheaper for comparable food.
