I was pleasantly surprised. Walk in and it reminds me of KFC, you order at the counter and they have chicken cooked in warmers behind the register. Order and they grab the chicken and plate it. Fast food style.

I opted for roasted chicken but the fried chicken looked good. More of a lighter colored batter. They had fried fish as well, but I wouldn’t expect much from that.

Roasted Chicken wasn’t bad at all. Fast food quality, I would think pre-seasoned or maybe even precooked. It was juicy as can be (no doubt to being injected or marinated) and had a flavorful rub covering the outside.

Fresh baked roll comparable to a Piccadilly soft roll. Dirty rice comparable to Popeyes.

Overall, great fast food option. Works well for a quick meal.

$12 plus change (after tax)

3 piece combo, 1 side, 1 roll, 1 drink

A bit high for fast food style but normal for quick service style

Funny you say that, among other reasons was told this was a major downfall of Dreamland BBQ in BR.

They have water as an option. They also had Big Red. If you can’t drink a Big Red, you’re a commie.

Their batter looks very similar to Church's fried chicken batter.

It was mostly a joke I’ll drink that MD and big red. I went when it first opened and thought it was decent. I’m just never out that way

I eat the tenders from this place pretty regularly. Usually MUCH faster than waiting at popeyes, tenders are usually more juicy than popeyes and more flavorful than Cane’s, but can be inconsistent (especially at off times if they’ve been sitting). Sides are always solid. I try not to tell too many people about it because it’s one of the few fried chicken places in town that isn’t a 30 minute or more commitment to get decent chicken from.

It's a good thing for me that this place isn't close to where I live. Otherwise I would hit it weekly.

Here's the deal. The fried chicken is really good. The roasted or whatever chicken is really good. Why are they good? They brine their chicken.

The fried fish is good. Better than what you would expect. But I don't go there for the fish.

The problem I see is consistency. Go during normal bidness hours. Don't go at 3:30 on a Tuesday.

Also, there is a nice cold, sweet, free threat if you eat inside. Here's a hint: It often breaks down at McDonalds.

I forgot about the ice cream machine. Free ice cream inside! Self serve soft serve.
