That all may very well be true .. not saying it can't be good, just don't know if a caesar salad (especially one from some random pizza joint) is worth writing about on the internet.
Salad dressings are simple pre-made batches. It's not technique and timing. It's recipes. Dressings are one thing a chain should absolutely do well with.

Probably meaning you couldn't possibly enjoy a chain because you review so many local and unique type places.

Ahh...then you all have learned something new about me today. LOL I'm very diverse and keep an open mind. All chains are not created equal. There are several things that I like at Zea. Carraba's ain't bad either. Now Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Applebee's?

What's the problem? OP liked it. You've likely never had it.

That won't go over well with some that post here.

This is my favorite as well, but I can go slumming at MM and enjoy it.

And the jerk chicken poboy with pineapples is pretty damn tasty.

So I just found prices on Urbanspoon. This pizza:

Red Skin Potato Pie
Olive oil and garlic base with sliced roasted red potatoes, applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. garnished with chives then drizzled with sour cream and spicy ranch dressing

a large is $25

Yep. I've never been to Ancora. I really want to try it.

I'm Yelp Elite, so I try to review everything, as time permits. I don't think it would be good and diverse, for me only to review upper end, nicer places.

If you eat any other pizza before you get to Ancora I will be very disappointed.

Gotta pay off those legal fees they spent getting liquor license approved.

For the record I enjoy MM. Love the crust. Don't remember it being that expensive, but I've only eaten at the one in BR where rent is substantially less.

I just looked at the prices and while they seem high, the pizza is very, very filling.

My date and I shared the Caesar salad and a medium pizza and we had a slice to take home.

So even though $20 seems high for a medium pizza, $25 for two people to have dinner (pre tax and tip) isn't.

I also liked that when we ordered 2 small pizzas, the waiter pointed out that it would be much cheaper to order a medium and go 1/2 and 1/2.

Ok

My time at LSU allowed for too many MM experiences. Most forgotten with the assistance of Shroom Teas. Not sure if they serve them here, it's basically a mind eraser.

According to Urbanspoon the same pizza @ the BR location is $21.50. And yes I ate there a shite ton during college .. when you can walk home drunk back to Sterling a little bit higher price tag is worth it IMO.

No doubt. That's my favorite type as well. But I do enjoy MM's chewy crust too. That's why I can enjoy an IPA and a stout in the same sitting as well.

Ouch. Are people unaware that Yelp routinely attempts to extort local small businesses by offering to remove bad reviews in exchange for advertising? I can refer you to several businesses on Oak Street alone who have received this offer recently....not a savory practice, IMHO.

So Br location is more expensive. Interesting. Even though they're a chain, they're all independently owned.

I was told this Monday night when I assumed that since the Covington location had Pumking, that this location would too. I stood corrected.

I've never heard this. I try to never comment on things that I can't speak factually about. I'm not saying it isn't true. Just that I've never heard that, so I can't comment on it.

It's pizza .. the highest profit margin food product a restaurant can serve, they're robbing the shite out of people at those prices. Especially when the ingredients are nothing but potatoes, bacon, onions, cheese and RANCH DRESSING!

Let me guess... just make it at home for $3

I think you misread. The same pizza in BR is less expensive. 21.50 < 25

Did they have any other interesting beers outside of the standard BMC and Abita?

Cool. Now would you like to try and actually add something of substance to the discussion?

I'm part owner of a restaurant and have also run a pop-up. Food mark up is quite high with many items. I don't know if I'd say pizza is number 1.

If I had to say...I'd go with cheese fries!

Add ons are a biggie too. I ripped into Mondo for that one. To add mushrooms, cheese and bacon to a burger that is already $12? $7!!!! So a burger with mushrooms, bacon and cheese with some fries is $19 at Mondo!!!

I was thinking of the price of the Holy Shitake. I'm with you now that Oak St. is more than BR.

Sure. Mellow is good, and I'm not surprised nikinik liked it. I agree with others that say Mellow's crust is better than Reginelli's, but I prefer the toppings at Reginelli's.
