I revers sear steaks at 265 usually takes 45 mins. to get to 120/125. Tomorrow I want to reserve sear a 9lb. rib roast and not sure how long it will take using this same temp. Any advise out there??

2 to 3 hours... maybe 4 or 5!

One major benefit to reverse sear is you can let the meat rest for up to an hour and a half tented with foil before you sear.
I think you're looking at around 3 to 3 and a half hours roughly at 265 for a 9 pounder. But it's better to get it in the oven sooner than you think you should because you have much more flexibility on the back end letting it sit rather than rushing to rest/sear with people sitting at the table.

Hot plates are key to excellent prime rib IMO. This is one thing restaurants do that home cooks rarely do. Put your plates in the oven prior to serving your guests. Makes all the difference.

Take advantage of this time to get all of your sides ready once they are done, then sear.
