Retired Old Man’s Friday…

A friend asked me to cook a couple of pork butts for a birthday party. Got up at 4:20, lit a fire and seasoned them. Wrapped them after about seven hours. Getting close to being done. :)

What time are we starting? What did you need me to bring?

I’m not even getting any. :)

A true cook gets the most joy from cooking for others! I don’t even have to eat most times, I just love watching others enjoy what I’ve cooked for them.

I get as excited about waking up early to start a fire as I do waking up early to leave for vacation. That year my parents wanted to do brisket for thanksgiving was the best.
Nice looking product sir!

Needs to be a song with some lyrics akin to "got up at 4:20 to light a fire and put some butt on the grill".
If Sturgill were inclined, I bet he could write one.
