I've loved their BBQ beef poboys since I was a kid in the 80s, and their plate lunches are legit and very popular.

There is a new place opening soon called Jarreau's on Hwy 19 near Taco Bell. They have a place on False River that turns out some good lunch specials.

LeBlanc's does make a good lunch plate. Has anyone eaten at the Lane Memorial cafeteria lately? They used to make a good breakfast.

Surprisingly enjoy Oishi. It’s the only sushi joint in town. Some good “original” rolls and relatively cheap prices for sushi.
