A few of my family members are staying in Lafayette this weekend and are looking for a place to eat Saturday evening. They are from out of state and want some local flavor not really a chain style restaurant. What does the OT have in mind.

Mazen, Fezzo's, Riverside, Bon Temp.

LT's in Brousard has crawfish some nights.

Go to Dupuy's or shucks in Abbeville.

Can't go wrong with Dupuy's. Aside from the raw oysters, Shucks is garbage.

Bon Temps
Riverside Inn

Tell them to do themselves a favor and take the drive to New Iberia to get a haircut.

1a. Cafe Vermillionville, Charlie G's or Ruffinos on the River (Fine dining)
1b. Saints Street Inn, Mazen Grill or Marcello's Cafe (More casual than 1a, very good food.)
2. Social or Pampalona (Small plates/appetizers, more about drinking and talking than eating.)
3. Bon Temps or Bread and Circus (Casual dining)
4. Prejeans or Fezzos (Cajun theme)

Ruffino's
Central for Pizza and Beer
Pops or Old Tyme for PoBoys
Prejeans or Fezzo's has good cajun food, but is like a chain without being a chain. LT's is better IMO
Judice Inn or Morvants for Burgers
Pamplona or Tula for Spanish/Mexican Food

The food isn't the best but I would have them stop at Randol's for a drink and maybe an appetizer so they enjoy the live Cajun music and dancing.
