Restaurant Recs for Lafayette

My dad and I are gonna be in Lafayette for lunch and dinner this evening. Looking for a couple of not fancy places that are unique to Lafayette. Not a sports bar necessarily, but it’d be nice if there were a tv turned to the Saints game for lunch. Tia .

Ive been to Ruffino’s too many times. Will check out the other 2.
Our limited research has brought up:
Blue Dog Cafe
Prejean’s
T-Coon’s
Any thoughts on those?

Blue Dog is good.
Prejean’s usually has some live Cajun music along with some decent food.
Bon Temps has TVs and good food/atmosphere.

Social Southern Table looks cool. Would you recommend that for lunch or dinner?

Bon Temps on Verot is good can never go wrong at T-Coons but I don't know if they will have the game on.

Unfortunately, Bon Temps appears closed on Sundays. I see 2 votes for French Press. What’s it all about?

A lot of Lafayette restaurants are closed on Sunday nights. Double check before you count on any one particular place.
Blue Dog has Sunday brunch, not open Sunday night.
T-Coon is just a lunch place.
Prejean's is probably open. Most on this board complain that it's a tourist trap, but their gumbo is good and so are the crawfish enchiladas.
Bon Temps Grill is open on Sunday nights. Deano's is, too.
Oops, didn't read all the posts. But I was at Bon Temps a few Sunday nights ago.

It's only open until 2:00 on Sundays.

It's only open for Lunch on Sunday.
Drago's opened a few weeks ago and is open Sunday night.
I would steer very clear of Prejean's.
Social, French Press, and Bon Temps are all only open for lunch today.

Prejean’s catches hell because it is touristy, but the food is very good.

Just sat down at Bon Temp’s. Sipping on a Sazerac, waiting for my crawfish pot pie. Only 2 other tables here, which is somewhat strange for all the praise.somgar so good, though.

Their crawfish pot pie is one of the things I don't care for.
The boudin and sausage board is good. Is their stuffed pork chop on the lunch menu?

It's gonna be tough for them if they don't wrap up that construction soon. It has to be affecting business, I know I haven't been in a year plus just to avoid verot

We thought the construction was probably a pretty big factor. Food was great though. Thanks for the recs.
