well...the feeling is mutual buddy

but seriously what are the 10 you can name of the top of your head?? they must have been well hidden. I really tried to go out my way to support local places, events, venues etc but they were either horrible (restaurants) or no one supported them (events).

Like I said, Monroe was honestly just a terrible fit for me and living there made me angry enough o lash out at it when I get the chance.

Monroe is a terrible place to eat on a Sunday night.

Pretty much. Most places are closed on Sundays

I heard that it went down when I heard it had closed.... From what I remember a few years ago the food was pretty awesome. The chef would do really awesome steak specials for awhile... then he stopped cause no one would order it. There was also a bartender there that would make unbelievable fresh signature margaritas... but no one ordered them and the fresh ingredients began costing to much for him to continue that....a few of the things that lent itself to my above no one there supports nice things point.

I'm working, I'm a dish washer down at Big Mommas Place on S 2nd. Great dinner, (lunch for city folk) I can assure you, would be easy to name 10, there's about a dozen more listed now, I believe?

Ok so I'll say in three years of living there I never heard of a few of those. Odd since my usual weekend missionw as to scour google, yelp and anything else to find a new local place to try. Not a sushi guy so didn't know about rawz. I did love don thomas... just forgot about it. I really never got the hype about genusas or warehouse. And I feel terrible to have slighted pickle barrel... loved that place...but in true Monroe style CLOSED ON SUNDAY

Sorry to have set off the I-20 war.
Thanks for the only useful response. Portico looks fine. Any recommendation on a good Mexican food place?
