Anyone know who regularly carries live crabs this time of year? Seems most seafood places are focused on crawfish. Every now and again, I’ll get someone to hold some instead of boiling them, but even that seems to be getting spotty.

Go out to the Westwego shrimp lot. If they are catching and selling them anywhere, they will have some there.

Solid advice. I don’t know why I never think of this place.

Boiled only this weekend. A few places at the Westwego shrimp lot have them, though. Soft shell, too.

Is Des Allemands to far? If not look up Cajun Crab Connection or KWK Crabs. They docks but sell to the public only if you call and order. But I would go ride to the Shrimp Lot and get them there if I was in Nola.

I was in Zuppardo’s Friday when they put out a tray of newly delivered soft shelled crabs. Medium-ish in size and very nice looking but $10 each.

Figured an update was in order. I got a couple dozen #1s at the Westwego shrimp lot. $40/doz. They were a mixed bag (some semi-poor and lit us up, some nice and full).
