Recommend me a reasonably priced dark, bold coffee.

I usually drink Community dark, Gevalia dark or Starbucks french roast.

I love Gevalia but they are just too inconsistent

I haven't had that issue with Gevalia but I only but about a bag a month.

I always thought Community was very consistent but lately it doesn't seem to have that bold flavor.

By bold you mean burnt?

Try Dunkin or 6 hour old Racetrack.

Dark roasts are the great equalizer in making all beans basically taste the same. If you give a shite about your coffee, move to a medium roast. Otherwise, just pick something that tastes less burnt than others and stop over extracting it like an idiot.

Have to remember, with a dark roast the first step is to add lots of cream and sugar. Cover the taste of the coffee right up.

I just use like 3-4 tbsp of Hazelnut creamer, I'm trying to cut down on my sugar intake

I usually get Seattle's Best Post Alley Blend, which is their strongest. It's on sale all the time for less than $6 a pound at my local grocery. Damn fine cup of coffee.

Seattle’s Best Post Alley

Very inexpensive. Can get beans or ground.

In other words, what Big Chipper said.

For ground coffee, we like Lavazza. Normally get the Gran Aroma, which is their lightest roast - though I’ve had the espresso roast and it’s good. They have a much finer grind than other brands so you can get a bolder flavor vs Community, Starbucks, etc. Its always on sale for $6.99/bag too...not terrible.
