Does anybody sell Manny Randazzo king cakes on Sunday? The bakery is closed today, but I seem to remember some stores selling them.

I know there are other options, but I prefer king cakes without a thick coating of sugar on the top.

Pretty sure they are open today. It's kings day. I just saw a friend on FB show pictures of getting her cake this morning.

If you don't want to go to Manny Randazzo's or Haydel's today, here is another idea for a large selection in one place if you want to try a bunch of differing things.

The wife and I just got back from there not long ago. We live in the neighborhood and walked over. They have a live band playing mostly N.O. Mardi Gras standards and a marching brass band accompanied them for a while.

They are selling Kind Cakes in the area where the hearses would drive up on S. Bernadotte St. and they are going from $16 to over $40 for the larger cream filled praline ones.

Not sure how long things will last since they seemed to be selling pretty fast.
