That is a great site to use to learn more about keto and use the recipes.

new here,

Started keto at the beginning of December and have seen some great results with it. Have not started working out while in ketosis as of yet.

218/200.6/185ish (as of Saturday morning)

THanks for joining...so you lost about 18 lbs. In just under 3 months and you weren't exercising at all during that time? Did you cheat at all on the diet? I imagine the holidays were rough.

I have noticed a a slight drop off in strength in the almost 2 weeks I have been on keto. I read that is to be expected and that it will return after 3 weeks or so.

No formal exercise but I have to walk around a lot of different job sites during the week. Honestly I haven't cheated much on it...once I got over the initial couple of weeks, my cravings changed and didn't feel the want to cheat.

Holidays do suck and are easy to cheat during those meals, but I found that if I brought a side dish to a party then I knew I at least had a meat and one side dish I could eat.

Giving up beer was the most difficult thing for me and it doesn't take many of those to throw me out of ketosis. So I learned to like Tito's soda with a lime.

I completely agree with you, but my doctor did not. I am coming off of a lower back injury while playing rec league softball. I got the ok from my doc to start working out this week.

I went on keto to help kick start my weight loss, but also because I read that it helps with muscle inflammation. Since I have been on the SKD my back pain has been greatly reduced. I am very excited to get back out there and be active again.

Y'all can talk about expensive chicken wing diets, crossfit, 5,3,1, etc. all you want.

The best advice I've ever gotten was from my baw who won a Mr. Louisiana back in the day:

"When you quit doing legs, it all starts falling apart."

That's a completely understandable reason to have been avoiding working out. From your original post, I thought you were worried about the ketosis and being adapted. Hope that back holds up and you can make some #gainz.

I was at first, but I saw a couple of people on youtube and their documentations of being in ketosis and working out. Plus reading the things ya'll have posted as well.

My back is the biggest weakness right now...I just got to be patient and work through it.

I had a couple of days where I felt pretty rough.
I hadn't prepped though. I got some broth and salt in me, and ended up feeling better.
I had crashed and burned a couple of times before, and ended up thinking it just wasn't the diet for me. I talked to Bus, and he sent me the info about what was going on, why I felt trashed, and how to get myself on a sustainable diet.

After that, I've found it's better to just eat right. Don't drink excessively anymore either, which has its own benefits.

Hangovers during ketosis will set you straight really damn quick! I've been on Atkins induction (22g carbs max) since Dec 31 and went from 237 to 210 as of today. The only thing I miss is beer (as a pretty serious home brewer).

Shaking things up. Started Phraks modified Greyskull LP workout yesterday.

Today I did fasted morning cardio, taking yohimbine and caffeine before hand. Was at gym at 525am when usually I wake up at 610am . Following Lyle McDonald's stubborn fat protocol. I probably followed closest to "new and improved 1.0"

Took 15mg yohi and 175mg caffeine today. Want to start a little lower before working up to 20mg. Got powdered yohimbine and caffeine from powdercity and a milligram scale from amazon

The quote is real. And it's true. When you stop doing legs, you're gonna run into problems.

I'd quit for a while. Worst decision of my life. Best was to get back on the #Gainz train though. Feels good.
