The smallest I've ever been was 190 when I started college and I was too skinny IMHO. But I have lost 47 lbs since I started January 15. I hope I can keep up the pace.
No goal weight just want to fit back in some of my old suits/ pants and jeans before my wedding this fall.

little bump from yesterday, but not really surprising.
It's also getting pretty damn lonely in this thread, where'd everyone go?

I'm following, and still dieting. Keep on keeping on Doldil.
You're doing great even though it doesn't appear to be coming off as fast. Keeping it off is half the battle.

You seem to be killing it with the weights.

Hello all. First, yes, I did read ALL 753 pages of this thread starting around Mardi Gras. I started dieting then. Right in the middle of Mardi Gras weekend I decided to quit drinking totally. I would usually go through a case of beer or 5th of something in 4-5 days, and then go out social drinking on the weekends. Stopping cold turkey on the booze has been the best decision.
I was always a very lean guy at 5' 10" and never had any muscle mass to speak of. I started out at 172 the Sunday before Mardi Gras as "skinny fat". I started dieting first, no exercise. As mentioned at the beginning of this great thread, I wanted to make a lifestyle change. So I started slowly. Last month I began doing pushups. I wanted a workout that I could always do indoors be it rain/cold/hurricane, no excuses. I've added a few things since and I have biceps and triceps now! I do everything incredibly slow to keep form and do not worry about sets, I go till I can't anymore. I workout 5 days a week for 30-40 minutes right after work. The other two days are usually to give my body a break. Keeping it simple has been the plan for me. I do not give myself a cheat day, but Easter I eased up and was sorry I did. I go to work incredibly early and skip breakfast. I've been on IF for the entire time. I'm down to a 32" waist and couldn't be happier with Keto.
Im not too sure how far to go, but my goal before Lent was 150. This thread has kept me going so far. So:
172/154/150

nice job Junky, on both the work you've done and managing to read this entire thread. Keep up the good work.

OK guys,it's time for me to get some of this weight off. First off,I feel bad and had a scare this week. Went to the emergency room Friday evening with what I felt was shortness of breath. Had E.K.G.,blood work, and blood pressure checked. Pressure was high, but everything else came back negative. They think I had an anxiety attack. I'am in the process of selling a business that my wife and I have run for over 15 years. Will be getting a stress test soon and will talk with someone about my anxiety. 280/280/200

Losing too much too fast
TIGER2, the hardest and most important step is the FIRST. So great job on deciding to get healthier. Is there any particular thing you're doing, or making better decisions on food?

I was not always this big. This has been a fifteen year eat whatever I want, whenever I want.
I'am looking to change the way I eat and also start with some lite walking and then go on from there. I have been on this site for a long time but never opened up this thread. Very happy I did and will look to it for motivation in times of need.
