I just realized the people on the 5-a-day diet were eating 100g of fiber daily. Wtf. No wonder they lost weight.

Pretty much! That would explain why they were grouchy on the diet. They were stuck in the bathroom. It's like frozen milk of magnesia.

Haven't been in the gym since Wednesday. It's killing me.

Is this why your calves have been left out of FBD posts?

Hahaha. I only read those threads for the scenery pics. I can tell ya where posters vacationed, but not what they drank.

Hi everyone, so I've been out of this thread for about the last three years. I posted fairly regularly (for a while) on the old thread. There's a lot of new faces here but i'm glad to see it still going strong.
Four years ago I went from 306 to 250 and gained it all back in about a year's time, plus some... I've been doing keto since early July and so far it's been working really well. I've also been counting my calories. I'm just hoping I can stick to it this time. My main motivation right now is a trip to New York the wife and I are taking in October. I wanted to be more comfortable on the plane ride and be in better shape for walking around the city for a week.

had wings for lunch...trying to figure out if I want to change up my lifting program to something new for the next few months while I'm trying to lose weight again.
I'm out of "get stronger" mode and in to "get less fat" mode. I don't want to get frustrated with trying to make strength gains while eating at a deficit so I think a different program is in order. Research is beginning...unfortunately I think jogging is going to need to be thrown back in to the mix

I've been sidelined since Thursday morning. Freakin blows. Chest infection.
I think tomorrow I'm back in the saddle.

Don't feel like lifting today. I know I'm going to go in there and half arse it.

What kind of lifting program is everyone on?
I'm thinking about changing things up when I get back from the beach in a couple weeks.
I know there are a bunch of programs in the OP, but what's everyone's go to?

Bench
Squat
Ohp
Deadlift
Each week.
I do some supplemental moves, abs, and ride the bike to get warm in the morning.
Basically Wendler with some bike time using a lot of resistance.

You only do one type of lift a day?
I'm not familiar with Wendler.

With everything going on, taking people into my home after the flood and helping friends, my diet fell off a little for a week there and only went to the gym once in over a week. To be honest, I didn't try really hard to maintain it, just counted calories. We ate takeout a lot and my weight varied wildly. But now back on track and hit another new low this AM and hit the gym.
Started my thyroid meds last week. I dont think it'll be a strong enough dose to affect my metabolism but I feel a lot better. Not so sluggish all of the time.
Lifting program I've been doing is a 5 day split.. push/pull/off/legs/push/pull/off
I usually do 20 minutes on uphill treadmill before or after lifting, depending on how I feel when I walk in. If I'm zombie mode I walk first.
