I had a whole pint of Halo Top Birthday Cake flavor. I regret nothing.

I've still yet to try Halo Top.

No stores on the wb sell it and every time I see it I'm not heading straight home after to freeze it.

I eat that arctic zero still. Something about 150 calories per pint sits right with me, but I found myself eating it twice a week. So I'm stopping all together.

I have to eat the entire pint no matter what brand of "ice cream" it is.

Birthday cake is alright. Chocolate mocha chip though,

I haven't tried Arctic Zero and I've heard mixed reviews. Halo Top is legit as frick. SO and I usually split a pint when we do have them.

there is only two or three flavors that only have 150 calories and they taste ok. Nothing great at all. I'd rather make a protein shake and have that instead (but obviously that's way more calories).

But for 150 calories it does it's job as a "sweet treat" for me.

Someone would have to literally take it out of my hands in order for me not to finish a pint of frozen goodness.

240 cals for a pint of Halo Top vs 150 cals for Arctic Zero has to be the best 90 calorie delta in the world.

Arctic Zero tastes like someone ate ice cream, then you filled his empty bowl with water so it got a little remnant of ice cream taste then froze it.

Damn that's pretty spot on.

I'll be uptown later tonight if it doesn't rain. Might be time to give halo top a chance.

ETA: Looks like they have them at the Rouse's over here now. The game has changed.

I think it's at pretty much all the Rouses except the downtown location. And it's at all the WHole Foods.

When I checked on their website a couple months ago it wasn't listed as a retailer.

Never thought to actually look in the freezers while there.

Halo Top is really good. I've had Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and some sort of Lemon Cake? That was about all the variety I found at whole foods when I went.

Stuff is delicious, but it really is tough not to eat the whole damn thing at once. I don't do well with stuff like that, it's all or nothing for me

*ETA* it's also expensive as hell, so that helps me not want to keep it in full supply as well

It's much easier when you can split it with someone. I've eaten a whole pint to myself before, though.

My favorite flavors of Halo Top are the strawberry and chocolate mocha. The mint chip is very minty, not very chocolatey (disappointing, I LOVE mint chocolate chip). Unfortunately those are among the 280cal ones. I've had those 2, the chocolate, vanilla, and birthday cake. I haven't had the lemon one yet.

eta

$6/pint does make it easier to say no to unless you've really got a sweet tooth. If it was $3-4/pint they probably couldn't keep it in stock

My flavor rankings:

1) Birthday Cake
2) Strawberry
3) Chocolate Mocha
4) Lemon Cake
5) Mint Chip
6) Vanilla
7) Chocolate

I made a diet root beer float about a month ago with the vanilla halo top and a diet Barq's. Very tasty.

protip: Don't let Halo Top melt and refreeze. I bought some while I was out and about for work one day, it sat in my work truck while I worked.. got home and refroze it, we ate it a few days later and the texture was way,way off.

Got damn arctic zone costs like $5 a pop too. Unreal.

I'm going to get a pint of Halo Top and try to only eat half of it.

On this note, I've noticed certain pints taste way better than others, and it's likely because the grocer or someone else on the distribution chain let it defrost and refreeze.

So if someone tells me they've tried Halo Top and didn't like it, I bet they had a pint that was full of ice for this reason. A good HT pint is creamy almost like the real deal ice cream.
