About 445
310 of peanut butter
130 of bread
45 of jelly

And then I drink 8 to 12 oz of skim milk with it or water

Well, that's less calories than I thought it would be. I was thinking that PBJ, milk + 1100 calories may be closer to maintenance calories instead of being a deficit in calories.

I love a good PB&J with a cold glass of milk.

Haven't had it in years, though. It's a shame.

I am weighing myself less often to see if that helps me stick with a plan. I too often get impatient. I typically like to weigh every day and take an average but just trying something different. I weighed myself two days ago and was 269, which is about where I was pre-NYC.

Tuesday will be my official weigh in and take measurements day. The idea is to only weigh in every two weeks. But I get curious and step on the scale every few days still...

Today I’m just ruining whatever progress I made this week. It’s birthday cake and ice cream for me later and some coca-cola later. Splurge on the Birthday is allowed

I ate chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream on my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I've been on a 1500 calorie per day diet since then to make up for it. I'm bumping it up to 1750 tomorrow.

Official weigh-in and measurements today.

268.7 - 1.2 pounds down from pre-vacation weight.

Lost 1.5" in my waist and .75" in my right bicep since my last measurements on 4-2-18.

Great job!!

I know I’m a broken record, but I’m back on keto. A friend is also doing it, so I’m making her keep me accountable. I’m armed with magnesium so I won’t feel as shitty during tennis this time.

Saw a dietician yesterday. She put together a plan for me, it's very close to whole30 but I can have limited amounts of legumes and wild or brown rice. She thinks my low red blood cell count, vitamin d deficiency, and some other issues that I'm not really comfortable bringing up on the internet are evidence that I've got nutrient absorption issues, aka leaky gut, and insulin resistance. So basically, meal plan is..

2400 cals
25% carbs
25% protein
50% fat

She also gave me info about timing my meals and how I shoukd construct my meals and snacks to help control insulin response. Don't feel like typing it all out from my phone

Also suggested I take a therapeutic probiotic, vsl #3 450. 450billion cultures in one dose.. compare to 1billion cultures in an entire bottle of kombucha. Meant to be an intervention, of sorts. Also cod liver oil.

Excited to be getting guidance from an expert and hoping to see some good results.

I told myself I'd only weigh once every other week but yesterday made one week without weighing and since starting my new diet with the dietitian, so I decided to step on the scale..

266.8

2 pounds. BOOM. Some of that is undoubtedly water since I am eating significantly less carbs, but I'll take it.

If anyone needs any extra motivation to hop on and stay on the Keto train, there is a new documentary on Netflix called The Magic Pill. Keto is truly a game changer.

I’ve had The Magic Pill mentioned a few times IRL this week. I started watching this morning. It’s mostly things we already know if one is familiar with keto, but it is extremely motivational to watch. It reminded me why keto is the best choice for me.

Okay dammit, I’m back on the pain train.
I’ve been doing nothing but working out since Christmas, I keep making excuses that I haven’t had time, and while it’s probably a reason, it’s not an excuse, so it’s time to stop fricking around. Hah!

I watched it, it's a good flick. There were some things I remember thinking were technically incorrect, but overall it was good and I think most people will be better off going low carb.

It wasn't all keto, they showed some shots of people eating fruits.. but probably more like whole30. One lady was super keto.
