What kind of diet do they have you following? Counting calories? Or something else?

I had my first tennis match of the season last night. Played better than I ever have (admittedly a low bar). It felt good. I haven’t been doing much on the diet front, but I played like 2-3 hours of tennis both Monday & Tuesday, and I’m getting faster. Yay.

It seems inevitable. The older I get, the more I notice everybody around me with knee braces and torn meniscuses (menisci?). Lame.

How are your knees?

No diet so far. They just asked to to track our eating so they could have data from which to plan a strategy

Obviously, I am eating healthy and not being honest at all about normal prior eating habits

Highlighting the type of thing that makes dietary studies where results are based upon reporting unreliable.

Doing well. On track.

1st anniversary today, so we're going to Delmonico and probably Courtyard for a beer or two. Definitely not whole30 today but we've been planning for it so whatever.

Blood work finally came back. Turns out my thyroid is still uncontrolled, so they are increasing my meds again. I am also vitamin D deficient. I guess it is no wonder I am tired all of the time

Month of whole30 with macro tracking done.

Measurements:

Weight:

Also, a cool function of my spreadsheet:

The "Projections of time and weight" calculations aren't working right. Haven't been able to figure that out yet, but the rest seem realistic. I do expect things to slow down.

How are you feeling after the month? Are you going to stick with Whole 30?

I feel good but I don't think it was because of food. I think it was:
A) booze
B) caffeine
C) I was vitamin d deficient. This is a big one. Started taking d3 earlier this week and after a few days ive noticed I feel a lot better.

I'm going to keep my carb/fat ratio high on fats, as I feel more satiated. Probably going to keep most of my food Whole30, at least during the week, because easier easier to track. But I don't think I have any food allergies or sensitivities.

Weigh-in day. Down another 1.3 lbs over the last week. Today's actual weight was 271.4.. getting close to the 260s again.

Ain't tracking shite. Feels so much gd better.

Was around 230 did RFL for almost two weeks and felt miserable. Got to 225 and I'm 226 today. Just eating and avoiding binges and hitting the weights hard with 15-20 minutes of stairmaster before lifts.

I don't trust myself to not overeat if I don't track.
