Good morning! Managed to hit my macros dead on yesterday, and Friday. Did a little happy dance for consistency.
Today is Sunday dinner with the fam, smoked turkey and probably a million carby sides, but my caring grandma called last night to say she's steaming veggies for us (my sis in law is doing this with me) to eat too.
I havent made any actual progress yet, just seem to keep gaining and losing the same three pounds everyday, so I'm trying to be patient and remember that water weight is deceptive.

It's about to start coming off fast.
After a month, your clothes will feel more comfortable and you'll see a difference in your neck/face.

Give it a few more weeks to really see the difference. Also, I'd skip the scale if you can. It doesn't really tell the tale.

I agree with Net.

I finally got my macros spot on this week and I feel amazing. Not worried about the scale.

Hopefully you are at least feeling good.

I am. I read enough ahead of time to make sure that I kept my electrolytes up plus I've been taking high grade vitamins for over a year now, I think that helped too, I didn't have many issues with the transfer to keto.
I noticed a dip in energy before my workouts, but that's been the worst.

Not worried about macros but eating keto with the exception of Friday's. I only allow potatos and fruit as a carb source though. Feeling good having those carb days once a week.

We do keto with one day off every week too. The first cycle we did I lost 27 pounds. Then I had a kid, and of course fell off the wagon. Back on it now and the weight is falling off again. It seems to be the only thing that my body reacts to.

Georgia is 36 and single and has a little more riding on this than a lot of folks.
We (my son and I) started with a group out of Slidell in January of last year, and from January to July I lost a little better than 40lbs eating better and working out, but after the accident/surgery I was laid up for about three and a half months and gained it all back, and nothing that worked before has had any effect this time around. I know a couple girls who had lost on the keto/os thing, so I figured it was worth a shot, so here we are.
I've been back in the workout grind for about a month and a half I guess, in abita this time, but same company. The workout's main purpose for me is to make me strong enough to hopefully not hurt as much anymore, because neck surgery is a pain in the..well neck.

I wasn't knocking ya. Just saying that you (everyone) can do keto and lose weight without working out. Even lazy keto.

I've cheated on this diet a lot last the 13 months. But I'm still in much better shape than I was when I started.

Working out helps you lose it faster. I usually quit working out for a few days when I'm trying to go back to strict keto. You do get tired. I know.

I didn't mean it defensively. Lol. Just figured that you guys here all seem to know a lot about one another (the OB is like that too, which feels a little strange coming from the OT, where privacy is clutch in keeping yourself intact. ) but I guess I figured if I'm going to join this conversation then it would probably help if you knew some of my background.
I like having people to talk about this stuff with, it's nicer to hear people's everyday points of view, and makes it easier I think.

I'm 36, too!

Working out doesn't help me much with weight loss, but like you said, I want to do it to be stronger & prevent jacking up my body. I don't like feeling weak & stiff.

Working out would help, if you'd decide to lift...

Not trying to hear it!

Yes, I know you're right. But god damn, I hate gyms so much.

For real, though. I need to suck it up and do it. I know. I need to be strong enough to fend off serial killers, at a minimum.
