At August or in general?
I had my rehearsal dinner at August a few years back, they had the most ambitious private dining menu that I looked at in the city. If you had a generic private dining meal there the host chose to play it safe. I can find their menu options and post it
Please do. I have attended several private events at August and the food has been ordinary/safe relative to the normal menu. The one time I had an event at Coquette the type of dishes on the menu was very similar to their normal menu.

This was from ‘15
I’ve never been to a private function at Coquette but I have no doubt their menu is legit. Would like to see it if anyone has it. I was going to look into them but their room wasn’t large enough
I looked at a lot of menus and have been to a lot of private dining spots, Restaurant August had the best choice of options I’ve come across. You can go safe or more ambitious

Cavan also has a great upstairs space.
They have more ambitious food choices too, but not executed as well as the chefs at Coquette would do for your group.

The best would be one of the upstairs rooms at Commander's. I have been to functions of this type at Ralph's on the Park and the Bourbon House. Both do a good job.

Big fan of Coquette, can't go wrong there.
I attended a private dinner for about 25 upstairs at Balise and enjoyed it more than the couple of regular visits I've had. Service and food were on point. Three choices each for starter and entree - one being steak cooked to preferred temp. Think there were two choices for dessert.
Service was impressive, courses served timely and wine and water never empty.

What are prices like for the private party at Coquette?
I've done Shaya, Annunciation, Ralph's, and a few others. Always looking for more places to entertain groups of this size.

I'm sure chef Mike would let you have some input on the menu.
Agree. He did a tasting menu for an event I attended. Totallly custom. Excellent.

Best restaurant in the city.
Ummmm...no. Top 15 for sure, though.
