Presmoking a brisket?

I’d like to make a brisket for my dad for Father’s Day. He lives a couple hours away and we are meeting around lunchtime.
Is there a process for this that doesn’t involve cooking overnight?
Happy Father’s Day to all of you hooligans.

Cook it the night before, wrap in a towel and place in ice chest The morning of the drive, make drive, ready when you get there.
EDIT: should have read the no cooking the night before part of your post. My B

The first three hours on the smoke is all you really need. After that, it's just a matter of either internal temp or poke test. Cook however you want after the initial smoke.

Wouldn't that just be smoking it?

Cook to 195 internal at home the night before. Store in fridge overnight then cooler on the drive to your dad's. Once there thrown in microwave for 20 min until internal is 204

This is the best solution. But you do need to cook it the night before. I've kept them warm in a cooler (wrapped in towels for several hours). Good luck.

Smoke it fully, wrap and put into a cooler to rest right before you leave. It should be perfect when you arrive.
