Must not have sold enough Michelob or Crown n cokes for the Youngsville folks.

Too many restaurants now for the population.

I'm assuming lack of business?
Given the explosive population growth in that area, and the explosive growth of bar and restaurant options, I can't see enough demand for a wine only and bar food only (see also charcuterie plates) type of place there, even though the quality is not lacking.
ETA: The menu had expanded to a burger option, wrap options, and salad options. But, although good, too limited for a broader appeal at this time in this location.

I wish Maybes would have survived next door. It was a cool spot. I think they shuttered Maybes because they thought it was cannibalizing business from POUR. Was owned by same ownership group.

Chimes and Superior Bar n Grill in the South part of Lafayette along with the Dave n Busters and Top Golf fixing to put the hurt to long time Johnston street restaurants in Lafayette.

Pretty much what I was trying to say
The POUR concept is more supported by a different demographic in RR, than in Youngsville.

I went to Chimes and Park Bistro this past weekend. Chimes was a joke compared to Bistro.
I guess folks will be lined up to get into Superior as well.

Chimes I could see putting a dent in longtime restaurants. It’s pretty darn good seafood, like Don’s on Johnston, but has a huge draft menu, which Don’s doesn’t.
However, Superior Grill is just a chain version of LaFonda. Really good drinks, lively, and average food. I’d just as soon pick LaFonda every time.

I know the owner. Some days were good, some were dismal for the past year. The other location in River Ranch is doing well

Which Ones?....ummmm let me see...Bad Mexican food place and a seafood restaurant that has fresh fish on menu 4 times a year. Thats what you would expect for a seafood place in Lafayette, IN ...not Lafayette, La!!!!

La Fonda and Don's ? They won't be hurting, they'll stay packed as usual.

Hahaha, this is comical. If you think anything is going to hurt LaFonda or Don's, you must not be from around here.

Don’s gumbo and fried catfish with old fashioneds.
That combo has always provided a good meal.
