Never had one and see there’s plenty of Amazon deals 30% off and looking for a well built unit. Would prefer to pay under 200 if possible

Bought my last bag of Jacks Links peppered jerky ever earlier. $19.59 for the 10oz bag. Craziness

Don’t spend a lot of money. It’s essentially a heating element, fan and plastic. They should all do sufficiently. I have a cheap one and have had it for ten years with no issues.

Do you have an air fryer? My air fryer claims to also be a meat dehydrator. Never tried it out though.

I have this one and it's worked well, I like the space it has.

I bought a Nesco American Harvest 15 years ago.
Still working like a charm as it has 7 trays, should cost less than $50

I may check on that. I’m definitely looking for alot of shelf space. Stainless shelves are a must. I’m moving to a mostly protein diet and seems like money well spent given the amount of various jerky I’ll be snacking on. Plus I’d really like to get my 2yo daughter hooked on some dehydrated fruit snacks

Like I said, Amazon has some nice sales on a lot of them right now so seems like a good time to grab one

I've done a variety of "fruit rollups" with fruit puree and adjuncts. Those were pretty easy and healthy

The Emeril 360 air fryer does really well, but for the effort and time, I wish it had more capacity.

If you're looking for medium sized batches, it's solid and does a lot of other stuff as you'd expect for an air fryer.

If you're looking for more yield for the effort, I'd look at something designed specifically as a dehydrator.

Thanks yeah we have an XL air fryer and I’ve seen this mentioned. I think as much as I’ll be making for work snacks, boat, etc I’d like to make much bigger batches at a time

Really looking forward to experimenting with some different meats, marinades, and spice mixes. I remember Cabellas having a really good selection last time I was there
