Didn’t even know that this place existed until a few days ago. My BIL shows up after work with a greasy, brown paper bag and says, “Try these.” He has handed me a bag of still warm pork cracklings from Porky’s. I don’t want to exaggerate, but these cracklings are some of the best things I’ve ever eaten. They’re one of those things that I could just keep eating until they are all gone, every time. Anyone else tried these? Agree or disagree with my assessment?

yes they are very good
it’s one of my frequent stops on the way home from work

for those wondering it’s in the truck stop building on the south side of the Livingston I12 exit

I got them once and did not enjoy them. They weren’t seasoned well and were hard to bite and chew. Maybe it was a bad day? But I didn’t care for them that time. I found the boudin balls to be average.

Overall assessment: it’s ok since nothing else is there, and I’m glad it’s there as an option, but it wouldn’t win any awards.

A little bump for Porkys since I had some this weekend...

Balls, smoked boudin, chicken cracklings and hogs head cheese were all fantastic

Nice little hidden gem in the town of Livingston! Pleasantly surprised.
