Since you are a Westwego guy maybe you know the answer. When I lived in the area back in the early 80's, there was a truck stop on 4th called The Riviera, a red door in the dining area led to this very nice 4 star restaurant behind it owned by the same people. Do you know the name of it?

Back when I lived in the area Westwego had more hole-in-the-wall great food places than I could count, especially along 4th Street. Of course it had a lot of really rough bars too, I got thrown out of my share.

The only place I've ate on 4th street (that I can recall) is Schnell's. Even though I reside on the West Bank, I never go out anywhere on this side of the river.

By the way, I couldn't tell if you were being facetious. 4-star restaurant on 4th St?

Not Schnell's, didn't that burn down at least once?

Not being facetious, I remember they brought you a basked of fried parsley when you were seated, crunchy and tasty. I had the best Beef Wellington I ever had in that place. My wife thinks it was called The Bistro, she may be right.

Don't know how old you are but ask an oldtimer from around those parts.

Just asked my Dad and he slightly recalls the place, but he did not move to the West Bank until he married my Mom in 1980.

I'm 25.

Don't know. They filmed at Domilise's one day, Parkway the next, then went to Lucy's to have a "neutral playing field" with a blind-taste test among a panel of judges. I only went when they were filming at Domilise's.

I was wearing a green polo that day if anyone is trying to spot me out on TV.

Yep, that was me.

Tracy Porter is a winner. On and off the field.

But seriously, Parkway is very good, too.

Domilise's batter technique looked a little different to me. Sort of like a second batter.
