Preferably mom and dad/local places
Would also consider picking up Korean food from Houston
I’ll be there Thursday night until Sunday afternoon for a conference

Lopez Mexican Restaurant is a solid family run Tex-mex spot.

Agree with Roux Pour for crab fingers and oysters (raw and chargrilled). Nice atmosphere place too.
Guru Burger has good burgers and nice local draft selection. Both of these places are in Town Center.
A 15 minute drive south from there, on Highway 36 in Needville, you’ll come across legit Cajun food. Bayou Boyz. Dude is from Larose and moved here from Grand Isle just a few years ago. It’s good down the bayou cooking, not fake overpriced Cajun like Floyd’s and Papadeauxs. The guy even makes his own hog head cheese for ordering.

Maybe Perry’s in Towne Center or Veritas on the other side of 59 from Towne Center? Basically Whole Foods shopping center.
I haven’t tried the steaks at either place yet. The pork chop at Perry’s lived up to its billing, with plenty left over to take home. The fried asparagus with crab meat at Veritas was awesome, but the wife and I basically just shared appetizers. We were pleased with what we ate.

...will change your life. It’s nothing like you’ve ever tasted. They cut it up at your table and the aroma will give you a hard on.

A hard on while eating a pork chop is a win win
