And I wouldn’t dwell too much on “Southern” and just concentrate on good food.

Agree. As long as he's not taking them to the latest sushi fad restaurant or something pure Italian, I think they would feel like they are getting a good "southern" meal.

I sent them menus to

Peche
ReBirth
August
GW Fins
Upperline
Restaurant R'Evolution
Deanies
Muriels
Brennans

They chose Restaurant ReBirth, works well since we planned on Fulton Street/French Quarter/Christmas in the Oaks as well

Why the long lines ACME....i find it to be very average and the portions to be small
There are much better options in new orleans

Try Gautreau’s. It’s one of our favorites. Very small and has a unique menu. Has a good mix of seafood and traditional dishes.

You had a couple good options on that list, many mediocre, and some stinkers.

Hint: they chose a stinker.

Best roasted chicken anywhere. Rarely do I order chicken but that is one I will always eat. Other 2 are chicken bon fomme at Tujaques and chicken a la grande at Moscas.

I hope it works out. Wouldn’t have been my choice.
