Trying to decide on a place to take about 6-8 guys from out of town, but love NOLA food to eat before we head downtown Sunday. I have some places in mind but wanted to hear some of your suggestions.

I am assuming you want a kind of casual place.
Ignatius
Gott Gourmet
Joey K's
Frankie and Johnnie's
Number one on the list of casual places is closed. Casamento's.

That's right glass. Casual. I thought about Frankie and Johnny's. That was on my list. Joey K's--meh. I'm going to check into the other two. Thanks.

I would go to Ignatius. Too bad Casmento's is closed.

What's the deal? Why are they closed?
Where is Ignatius?

Not open on Sunday. Ignatius is like 1 3/4 blocks towards Louisiana on the same side of the street as Casamento's.

Okay cool. Thanks. I'm going to let them decide between F and J's and Ignatius

Also might want to consider Crabby Jack's

I went to Parasol's before the game on saturday, good amount of saints in there and roast beef was good as usual.

Change of plans for you. Casamento's is open this Sunday only. From noon to three. If your guys want a real NO experience you cannot get any better. Get some raw oysters and crab claws to start.

Not open Sunday. OP is looking for a place to sit down with 6-8 guys. I do love Guy's though.

Re Casamento's . . . be sure to get there early if you have 6 - 8 people.

Melting Pot - Are you kidding?
Crabby Jack's - Nowhere near Uptown.
Casamento's - Great suggestion.
I alway love Jacques-Imo with a group...but I don't know if they are open Sunday.
