I caught the new episode of American Masters about Jacques Pepin on PBS tonight. It was excellent. Be sure to check it out.

I've learned a lot from him over the years. I really like his cookbooks, loved his shows on the telly, especially with Julia Child, but there was one show that really bugged me and that was the one where he would cook with his adult daughter. To this day I still can't figure out how the daughter of one of the greatest culinary teachers could be so absolutely clueless and inept in a kitchen. It was borderline embarrassing.

They addressed that in this last series.
I actually liked those episodes. She discussed the feedback they got from doing them. It was neat to see them talk about how it all happened.

Watched the American Masters show on him and it was terrific. I highly recommend it if it comes on again. I thought we had a separate thread on the special, but it didn't come up in any searches.
