My only suggestion is don't make the $800 mistake I did and buy a Green Mountain pellet grill. It wound up at the road to be scrapped after about 10 cooks and parts being replaced.
I now just have a simple old Traeger and it works just fine
That's unfortunate, mine is 7 years old and the only issue I've ever had was that the temp probe stopped working. I just bought a thermapen and all is good.

Definitely do not leave it outside exposed to the weather. Mine only lasted 2 years because I didn't take proper care to keep it covered,

Interesting, I had the old school mid-sized one, no wifi or window, and it was great for years. Sold it to my friend when we moved and they still use it, mostly for wood fired pizzas using the pizza oven attachment.
The few times I had an issue GMG customer service was super responsive and the part was covered under the warranty.
ETA: I see the comments about the temp probes...those are cheap to replace and they also say that you should never submerge them in water (which is likely what killed a few mentioned in this thread).

I agree, their customer service is good. But, I don't want to be replacing parts on a brand new smoker.
When the customer service guy told me I could call them for assistance to replace control board they sent me, I was done. Probably didn't cook on it 10 times
Eta. Two fans, auger, and control board

Need help deciding between a ZGrill 6002b and the pit boss lexington. Neither is top of the line. But we need something at the camp house for quick cooks. The Zgrill is on sale at Lowes with free assembly. The Pit Boss is at Walmart.
Based on your vast knowledge, which one is better? Or easier to not screw up.

Check out the Camp Chef Woodwind Pro with sidekick griddles. Over $2000 but perfectly set up

Had my Green Mountain for 10 years. Love it.
Almost bought a Traeger at the time. One thing that swayed me to Green Mountain was how much heavier it was compared to a Traeger. I figured heavy metal is better for a smoker.
