I loved the brisket there. The mesquite they smoke with is really pronounced, which the brisket can stand up to.

I found it overpowered the ribs though to be honest. They were cooked well, but just too pungent. Almost wished they would mix Oak and Mesquite. I think it would balance the flavor better.

How long has it been since you ate there. They have transitioned to a Mesquite/Oak/Hickory mix.

They've been using a mix for a couple of years maybe.

Maybe it's been longer than I thought. I know they were using straight mesquite when I went.
