Good morning all. I have cooked the jambalaya recipe listed in the TD cookbook multiple times, and it's great. If I wanted to sub pasta for rice, do I use the same ratio of water??
Thanks
Thanks

Use 1 to 1.5 quarts per pound of pasta.

don't get too nervous about the water ration with pastalaya. it's not like jambalaya. the steam alone will cook the noodles to perfection if you close the lid.

I do 3.5 cups per 1 lb of bow tie.

1 quart of stock/water per pound of elbow macaroni or linguini/spaghetti

Great thing about pastalaya, you can always add later unlike rice in jambalaya. I go with a gallon of water every 4 lbs and still add as needed toward the end.

Using the Jambalaya Calculator, do you sub the exact pound for rice for pounds of pasta?
Like if you are using 3 lbs of rice per the recipe, do you use 3lbs of pasta?
I didn't see where it gave that information. Thanks for the help!!

Nevermind, I found an updated version that included the information.
