Surprised haven’t heard more about this. Seems like a no brainer in New Orleans where the cultures blend so easily. A fried oyster banh mi.

The Ordinary in Charleston does/did a fried oyster slider with banh mi veggies, must have had 6 or 7 of those things in one sitting last year.

Reef here in Houston also had a fried fish banh mi on their lunch menu that was great. RIP Reef.

You get your arse kicked down here if you serve a bullshite looking oyster poboy like that,. Looks like the worlds shittiest attempt at a Bánh mì as well, no pâté?

ETA: you’re right though, the flavor profile of the oysters should work well in one.

I guess calling it a Po-Mi is better than Banh-Boy

Calling it a "Mi Po" would be a better hommage to the Poor Boy.
