Which stores or bakeries in New Orleans sell the mini patty shells?

Thanks!

Bambino’s Bakery on Vets. Call ahead to confirm stock, they do run out certain times of the year.

The old "Go To" use to be McKenzie's back in the day, but they are long gone now and sadly missed by many.

Their puff pastry shells were all my family used when making oyster patties for parties and holidays.

Zuppardo's in Metairie definitely has a good supply during holiday season, but I think they also have them all the time.

True, most stores won't have them until near a big holiday.

McKenzie's Oyster Patties

4 dozen oysters and liquid
Salt and pepper
1 onion, grated
dash of cayenne pepper
1 Tbs flour
2 Tbs chopped parsley
2 Tbs butter, melted
½ cup chopped mushrooms and juice
12 patty shells
1/4 tsp lemon juice

Cook oysters in their liquid by bringing to boil, then simmer ten minutes. Saute onion in butter; blend in the flour until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients and oysters.

Cook five minutes; pour into patty shells and bake in 370 degree oven for five to eight minutes.
