That was my thinking as well. On any given day there are at least a few decent gas grills for sale on Facebook or the Nextdoor app to pick up on the cheap if you need one.

I would ho with the egg and the grill. A grill can be converted to a griddle using aluminum grill grates or cast iron.
I have aluminum grill grates i put grate side down, so as to sear steaks and what not.
However i will be getting an outdoor griddle soon. Blackstone or some other brand.
